The Marantz CDR310 is truly portable and offers a 4GB internal Hard Disc drive linked together with an internal CDR/RW drive. There is a choice of unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR analogue stereo inputs (with 48v phantom power) together with SPDIF digital I/O to enable recording from a variety of sources. If you forget a microphone, the on-board microphone will save the day and you can hear what you’ve just recorded using headphones or the on-board speaker. The CDR310 has a battery compartment that can take the RB1651 re-chargeable battery allowing the unit to be used where mains power is not available.
Recordings are intially made to the internal 4GB drive in either .WAV, CD-DA, AIFF or MP3 formats. The 4GB drive can record in stereo uncompressed .wav format for just over five hours, or 55 hours in MP3! Once the CDR310 is powered up, an internal 10 second record buffer automatically starts to capture any audio prior to the record key actually been pressed, so you’ll never miss the start of that important meeting you’re about to record.
Once the recording is made you may elect to burn one or more CD’s using the internal CDR/RW drive. For recordings longer than 80 minutes, the CDR310 will make multiple CD’s with an overlap in audio between the first and subsequent CD’s. Ideal for conference or logging requirements.
