Expertise/Experience: Pro Engineer Musician.

Pros: +
Excellent value for money, very versatile. In built mic.s good for general recording for demos, metering and faders excellent for price. Dedicated master track a boon as that the 16 other tracks aren't used up. Similtaneous 8 track recording at this price, Incredible!

Cons: -
A to D coverters are not pro standard, but fine for less important demo recordings. A lot of button pushing for some jobs like assigning effects. An S/Pdif input would have been nice.

Pros: +
Pretty straight forward to use, simple to understand.Decent quality recording and can do 24bit.Ultra portable as it an run on batteries and is small.8 inputs all on jack or xlr, 2 have phantom power.Silent, all files in easy to port WAV format.

Cons: -
No Midi Sync not even over USB,Jack sockets on mine are incredibly tight, feel I will almost rip the thing apart when I remove them !!Can't find a way to load, change and then forget the changes of a project, i.e. it always saves over the last version of that same project.

Review:
Truly, it's too early for me to review properly. I've done little more than unpack, read some of the manual, and check that it powers up OK - it does!

It is fair to say that I'm happy with my purchase, as it does seem to be exactly what I needed and expected. I'd be happy to add more when I've used it properly, maybe in a few months' time, when it may go from 4 to 5 stars!
