A very well built piece if kit. Sold and sturdy.
If you are using DAWs like Cubase, Ableton etc then it should work fine.
Reaper users, like myself have a bit more of an uphill battle. Documentation is very poor and you need to do a lot of web research before buying one.
Not all the buttons are going to work, however I found the best config, for Reaper 64 v5 was gotten by emailing Icon support and requesting the V1.14 firmware.
Install this using the QCon Pro software. You will also need to fully install Klinke's MCU software which is available on the Reaper forums.. check the 'Compatibility' sub-forum for Icon Qcon Pro thread for detail.
For the best functionality... turn on the surface and set it into Logic Pro (not Reaper) mode.
Then go to options - preferences -Control Surfaces and Add the 'Mackie Control (Klinke)' controller and select the MIDI input and output menus to your Qcon Pro... and voila your faders, scribble pad and VPots will work as will most of your buttons in accordance to the default layout.
It is a solid controller for the money.. you just need to jump through a few loops.
Icon support is excellent and I received the firmware the next day!
So five stars for the build quality and support. 4 stars for the documentation.
The more I use it.. the more I like it.
