The MOTU 1248 AVB is a rack mount Thunderbolt Audio Interface. The 1248 Thunderbolt Audio Interface has an incredible dynamic range, offering the features of a large console and has a total of 66 input / output audio channels (32 input and 34 output channels). The 1248 can be operated via Thunderbolt or USB 2.0 (USB 3.0 compatible). A powerful DSP offers the quality of a mixing console with 48 channels, 12 stereo busses and 32-bit floating-point effect processing including modelled analogue EQ, compression vintage and classic reverb. The extensive of the device routing network connects inputs to outputs and routes the inputs to multiple destinations within the network.
Connect using a simple Ethernet cable a second MOTU interface AVB (1248 8M or 16A). Insert the MOTU AVB Switch (sold separately) to allow more inputs and outputs to be added. Create an AVB audio network with several switches and a latency of less than a millisecond - even over long cable runs. Stream hundreds of channels on devices and computers on the network. From the first recording to mastering the 1248 delivers outstanding sound quality, user-friendly operation and reliable performance.
