Keyscape Virtual Keyboard Collection Boxed description:

The Spectrasonics Keyscape Virtual Keyboard Collection Boxed is a virtual instrument that brings together the world’s largest anthology of collector keyboards in one package. Both keyboards and pianos are featured, and a huge range of styles and sounds are catered for. Ten years in the making, each of these sought-after keyboards was carefully restored and then deeply multi-sampled by the renowned Spectrasonics Sound Development Team. Every single instrument in the collection has been painstakingly sampled from an actual physical source making this one of the most authentic and rich examples of virtual instrumentation ever attempted.

If this were not reason enough Keyscape goes even further. Each patch is equipped with Custom Controls that allow the user to alter EQ and effect filters to dramatically customise the final sound produced. Along with the hundreds of patches based on the 36 instrument models, Keyscape includes special hybrid "Duo" sounds, which combine two of the instruments to create something entirely new.

As a bonus for Omnisphere 2 users, Keyscape also integrates fully as a satellite instrument within the Omnisphere® interface. Keyscape will simply appear as a library inside Omnisphere’s browser for users of both plug-ins.

I've only used it a couple days but I'm really impressed. I was already a fan of Spectrasonics software (I use both Trillian and Omnisphere 2 on a regular basis) and I knew these guys wouldn't disappoint.
I'm not a professional keyboard/piano player but I have used a lot of piano and keyboard vsti's. From Lounge Lizard to Neo Soul Keys to pretty much all of Kontaks piano and keyboard sounds.
The variety of keyboard sounds on Keyscape is amazing. It pretty much covers everything and then some (I've never even heard of some of the keyboards they've sampled on this). Plus the fact that there's integrated sounds with Omnisphere to create a new fusion of sounds, the possibilities are endless. I like the fact that sounds load a lot quicker than Kontakt and there's no lag/delays when playing (which I get a bit from Neo Soul Keys).

To cut it short, I'm more than happy that I got this and wish it came out years ago!!

I am very happy with Keyscapes. The sounds are really great and very tweakable. It runs with a normal external USB drive in my macbook (225, i7, 16Gb ram) Elegantly arrives on 2 USB drives and installs easily.

If you didn't think you need this you were wrong. From the very first note, this sounds amazing. I have placed all my Spectrasonics library on an external SSD and it is connected to my Mac Mini server (mid 2011) via USB2 so the load time is a bit slow, but my 2 GHz cpu is running it fine. Highly recommended.
