Digital Synsations description:

Digital Synsations contains more than 500 professionally designed patches that have been programmed with fully reconditioned Yamaha SY77, Korg M1, Roland D50 and Ensoniq VFX. These synthesizers can be found in productions by Depeche Mode, The Cure, Pet Shop Boys, Vangelis, Brian Eno, Toto, 808 State, Jean Michael Jarre and many more.
UVI has complex multi-samples of custom patches created with high-quality recording equipment and processes before they were subjected toprofessional mastering. These waveforms were used as the basis for the hybrid instrument, which was then combined with the UVI-Engine, in order to reproduce the true character of these classics with all their peculiarities.

Customer Reviews

UVI are a French company who specialize is recreating sounds from many old synths. Synsations covers 4 - Yamaha SY77, Kork M1, Roland D50 and Ensoniq VFX.I have to say they have done an excellent job and you would find it hard to tell the difference from the originals. It's a great way of getting some of those classic sounds that we all love.

Be aware though that this physical package does NOT contain any software disks, you must download the whole 9GB from the UVI website which is a pity as I really wanted disks for backup. The box simply contains a product catalogue, a small slip of paper with download instructions and a strange silver key which turned out to be an iLok key. If, like me, you don't have a key then it's a great way to get one for free but those who already have a key might as well buy directly from the UVI website - unless you want a second key or must have a spare DVD case.
