Origin Cardioid Condenser Microphone description:

The Aston Origin Cardioid Condenser Microphone is a condenser microphone featuring a built-in pop filter, a wave-form mesh head, and is designed for vocal and instrument recording. The Aston Origin is a high-performance cardioid condenser microphone utilising a 1″ gold evaporated capsule. It is versatile enough to use with most instruments, but excels on acoustic guitar and vocals. Its hand-selected capsule is teamed with high-end transformer-less circuitry using only the highest components.

The Origin is designed to deliver a direct, smooth and intimate sound for a natural and transparent recording. The Origin has Aston's signature wave-form mesh head. The shock resistant wave-form design allows the head of the mic to distort if given a heavy knock, and then return to its normal position, without any damage at all. Because the internal shock absorption system is so good, you can mount the microphone directly to a stand via a built-in, and interchangeable thread adapter. The design also makes Aston microphones extremely easy to repair and maintain.

The main features of the Aston Origin Cardioid Condenser Microphone include:

Review:
Excellent sound quality, used to have the Rode K2 mic and I prefer the sound of this mic in many ways. I cannot believe the quality/price ratio. Definitely a high quality mic. I have tested it with male and female vocalists, and I have no complaints. Crisp and clear recordings that sit well within the mix with very little processing. My mic is plugged directly into the Babyface Pro interface and it works great. Happy with this purchase.
