The unit itself is solidly built out of metal with robust switches, it's similar in function to other cheaper ones on the market in terms of features but the others don't look as robust. The knobs feel like they are PCB rather than chassis mounted so be careful not to kick them when you go for the footswitches. The displays are really easy to see.

Programming is reasonably easy, the manual is not great so I resorted to Youtube to find out how to do it, after a couple of false starts I managed to program in some scenes. I still have no clue how to turn them into chases because the manual doesn't mention how but since they say this works the same way as the Obey 6 then you could check out that one. Anyway, my plan was to program several scenes and switch between them on auto mode.

One massive annoyance with this unit is that activating the blackout function from the footswitches means holding down the far right switch for three seconds, that means it's impossible to time the blackout with the end of a song. But there is a way round this by programming a scene as a blackout.

The annoyance of the blackout footswitch aside, this unit is ideal for simple control of lights with a foot, just what I was looking for.
