Rode NT2-A Studio Solution
The NT2-A carries on the tradition forged by the legendary RØDE NT2. A professional large capsule (1") studio microphone incorporating three-position pick-up patterns, PAD and high pass filter switches conveniently located on the mic body, the NT2-A is at home on an incredibly diverse range of sound sources.
The frequency and transient response of this transducer has been voiced to complement today's modern recording techniques, and yet still evoke the silky smooth character of the legendary microphones of the 50's and 60's. Its superlative audio characteristics combined with the included SM6 shock mount with integrated pop filter, 3m (10') XLR cable and dustcover, make the NT2-A one of the most versatile condenser mics available.

Very solid, good looking and well designed. I have the 1A and the difference is like day and night. The 2A is much heavier, larger. The 1A had a badly loose XLR connector. No such problem with the 2A. Very sensitive with crisp highs and solid lows. Much more solid sound than the 1A. 1A is marvellous for vocals, but adding the padding and filters allows me to record anything! For acoustic instruments this is amazing. I record radio advertisements, audio books and general voiceovers and this mic creates a very intimate sound suitable for male and female voices. For female voices it brings out the clarity and for male voices adds a good deal of 'air'. Highly recommended! I have 4 rode mics, the NT1A, NT2A, one mono and one stereo camcorder mic. Rode just build great solid mics with great sound for an amazingly low price.
Too sensitive! You MUST treat your recording area acoustically. Don't expect to use this in a normal room unless you want a very spaced out sound and want record the scratching of clothes as people move! I have a fully insulated vocal booth and the sound especially for voiceovers is amazing. Nothing else bad to say.
A good quality, reasonably priced microphone kit.Enough features to cover most home recording solutions. An excellent first-time foray into the world of studio microphones!
you dont have to be "pro" studio tech to get great tones out of it. Real goldmine for demobands!
doesn't include phantom =(
This mic has surpassed my expectations. Quality build and quality sound. Vocals are faithful and rounded, with no harshness, and extremely good lower end. Similar results with acoustic guitar. Have not needed to apply any EQ on recordings so far. Had intended to but a Rode NT1-A, but am glad that I shelled out the extra cash for the NT2-A. I did a lot of research on-line prior to purchasing this mic. Highly recommended.
