Review:
Body is tough plastic with a metal base but all looks suitably robust. As all these things are basically a potentiometer in a case there is not much to go wrong and in use the pot is quiet.
It does what you would expect it to do and is stiff enough to remain where you set it.

At the price DV247 are charging you can't go wrong - great value for money and I can't see why you would opt for a more expensive passive volume pedal as this is more than adequate for the job.

Great pedal, good solid construction, does what it says on the tin. If you are looking for a cheap mono pedal you can't really go wrong.

Review:
Simple device; smooth operation; low noise and works perfectly well. Control stays where it is put with a nice thick pedal tread. Passive circuitry so no gain. I use it to control volume when tuning a guitar etc. so as not to be heard between songs and to swell for a solo break. Very happy about it.

Review:
Very basic but effective and at a really good price. Only drawback is that unfortunately individual examples do vary in the amount of 'travel' on the pedal from sound becoming just audible to max volume. I have two and one 'travels' twice as far as the other. The 'just audible' point can be hard to find.

You can't beat a tenner for a volume pedal. Even if it was rubbish (which it's not), it costs about the same as lunch in a cafe, so there's really no excuse for buying one. I bought two.

Nice, smooth action, quite a sturdy feel and it 'holds' as well, so you can use it to back off volume by 50 and leave it there, and it'll stay - it does what it says on the tin really. For £10 you won't be disappointed.

Basic but does the job nicely - I connect an iPad through it to the PA to control backing track/ pad sounds volume to match my guitar.

Review:
For a plastic pedal this feels nice and solid. No pedals should be jumped on so no reason not to gig it. The motion is heel down off/toe down on which is nice and intuitive. Rubber feet make it non slip.

I placed mine after all of my effects but before delay pedal then into amp. This sounded so natural and allows total control of your onstage volume - even if you are using a compressor/sutainer or some other pedal that wants to raise your volume - without resorting to the guitar's own volume knob which, in the case of a compressor/sustainer pedal would simply lead to more background noise as the comp/sus pedal would simply be trying to bring your signal up higher again.

Swells are really easy once you are used to the travel of the pedal. I'm guessing this is an audio taper potentiometer as the volume seems to come in somewhat less than gradually. I might open it up once it's past its warranty period and see if a linear taper does a more precise job.

All in all though, I love it.

This is probably an example of You get what you pay for
This is VERY cheap, compared to other volume pedals.
It does function as a volume pedal but is not at all smooth (so you would find it hard to do a slow swell without it sticking then jumping). I think this is because of the design - basically two pieces of cheap moulded plastic, with a tension bolt holding them together - if you don't mind your pedal being fully down, then pull up (from heel), loosen the nut and it will be smooth. But for standard push and leave settings, probably best to save up for a better one.

I bought this as a low cost addition to my pedal board.

Whilst the pedal itself is quite stiff in use, it is quiet and does the job fine.

I use backing music on minidisc, play rhythm guitar and sing. I needed backing music volume control so I didn't need to keep going to the amp to adjust the volume. I send minidisc output to the pedal then pedal output to the amp, perfect solution. I don't lose contact with my audience by wandering off to the amp so my presentation is so much better.

Great price and well made robust product which works well without changing the tone of the guitar. The pedal action has just the right amount of resistance and travel so it is very controllable.
