Allen and Heath ZED-12FX Multipurpose Mixer with USB - 12 channels for live sound, recording and production with essential on-board fx.
Allen and Heath ZED-12FX Multipurpose Mixer has 16 essential time-delay effects add to the already bulging feature set. The mixer is ideal for small groups who don’t want to carry around an effects unit with their gear but who still want great quality FX at their gigs and on their recordings.
The USB audio interface, with its uniquely flexible capability, allows different signals to be sent to USB, from LR or from selected aux buses. The USB return signal can be routed straight to the LR mix or to a stereo channel. The connectors are placed on the top surface for easy plugging & patching, and the construction, with individual circuit boards firmly nutted to the top panel, is as rock solid as Allen & Heath’s top of the range ML Series mixers.

Works out of the box, very straightforward. Good price for a good desk, no qualms here! Effects also very good quality
Very pleased with it easy to use looks great and sounds great no hums or back ground noise enjoying every moment working with it.
This is the best mixer I have ever had the pleasure to own and I've used Behringer, Peavey and Mackie to name but a few. I now have two ZED 12FX's (purchased the first one three months ago)The mic pre-amps are crisp and clear on vocals and there's plenty of headroom - of course a decent amp and speakers are advisable - I'm currently using a QSC GX7 amp driving a pair of Electrovoice ELX 115 passive speakers and Shure Beta 87a microphone. The onboard effects are great, in fact, the reverbs/delays are on a par with Lexicon's MX200 and the addition of the tap tempo is the icing on the cake allowing the personalisation of their settings. The sweep mid range function allows fine adjustment of mid frequencies although I have found the best settings for me are to leave them flat after playing around with them for a while, I suppose it depends on the acoustics of the venue though. 100mm faders allow fine adjustments of volume and effects and the USB in/out function allows the recording to a laptop or playback of music/backing tracks. What more would you want - and all at a decent price (at the time of writing)Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed with this mixer but I recommend you play around with it for a week or two to get the best out of it and my bet is that your pleasure of ownership will grow along with your experience of using it.
