Whammy 5th Generation Guitar Effects Pedal description:

The Digitech Whammy 5th Generation is the latest Whammy Pedal in the Digitech Line-up. The Whammy 5th Gen sees the addition of chordal Whammy pitch-shifting and true bypass.

The Digitech Whammy Effects Pedal has long been one of the most recognisable pedal on guitar player’s pedalboards. The Whammy Fifth Generation adds a new level of expressiveness to your guitar tone, whether you’re seeking unruly screams or beautiful ambient chords.

The DigiTech Whammy 5th Gen includes some of the tried and tested features borrowed from other Whammy Pedals in Digitech’s catalogue including the rotary preset selection knob, the mechanical momentary switch, the interval selections and of course, the Ferrari Red chassis. Like it’s predecessor, the Whammy 4, the Whammy 5 features the versatility of MIDI control making it flexible enough for any situation.

The main features of the Digitech Whammy 5th Generation Guitar Effects Pedal include:

  • Next generation pitch shifting algorithms
  • Classic and Chords shifting modes
  • True Bypass
  • 10 Whammy settings
  • 9 Harmony settings
  • 2 Detune settings
  • Rugged metal chassis
  • MIDI input

Pros: +
Great tonal qualitiesEasy to useNo tone sucking in bypass modeGreat quality enclosureGreat quality preset sounds

Cons: -
Too expensive, 200Euro is too much. 150 Euro would be a reasonable price.
